Dirt Dayz Terms & Conditions

Buy booking a tour you acknowledge that you have read & agree to the T&C's

To participate in any Dirt Dayz Adventure Tour, participants must hold:

  • A valid Australian Queensland Motorcycle Licence, or
  • A valid International Motorcycle Licence, accompanied by an official Extract Translate of Driver Licence where applicable.


Accepted licence types include:

  • Restricted Learner (RE-L)
  • Restricted (RE)
  • Unrestricted (R)


If a licence is expired, suspended or cancelled, it is the rider’s sole responsibility to ensure their licence is valid prior to participation. Dirt Dayz accepts no responsibility for participants who do not meet eligibility requirements.


All participants must be physically and mentally fit to participate in Dirt Dayz Adventure Tours. Students MUST disclose any medical conditions, injuries, or medications that may affect their riding ability. Failure to do so may result in removal from the tour and forfeiture of fees.


If a participant experiences a medical event during any Dirt Dayz Adventure Tour:

  • The student will be stopped from continuing the tour.


Participants must:

  • Follow all instructions given by Dirt Dayz staff, guides, and instructors,
  • Ride in a safe and responsible manner at all times.


  Participants are required or strongly recommended to bring:

  • Thin shorts or long boxers to wear under motocross pants,
  • A t-shirt to wear under the motocross jersey,
  • Sun protection: hat, sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses,
  • A backpack (hydration bladder with hose recommended),
  • Protective socks (over-the-ankle if possible),
  • Personal snacks or energy bars (optional, for long rides).


Dirt Dayz strongly recommends using Dirt Dayz supplied motorcycles for all tours. If a participant chooses to bring their own motorcycle, the following conditions apply:


  • The motorcycle must be 100% roadworthy, fully registered, and correctly classed for the tour,
  • The motorcycle must be safe and suitable for the riding environment,
  • Proof of current and valid registration must be provided,
  • Dirt Dayz reserves the right to refuse any motorcycle deemed unfit.
    If this occurs, the participant will be removed from the tour and all fees forfeited.


By using a personal motorcycle, the participant:


  • Remains fully responsible for the condition, legality, and insurance of that motorcycle ,
  • Acknowledges that their insurer may or may not cover use in an adventure tour environment,
  • Accepts that Dirt Dayz accepts no liability for private motorcycle use.

 

Failure to provide proof of registration or presenting a non-compliant motorcycle will result in immediate removal without refund.


5.1 Rescheduling

  • More than 21 days before tour - Free reschedule
  • 7–21 days before tour - $50 rescheduling fee
  • Less than 7 days before tour - Full tour fee forfeited


5.2 Cancellations

  • More than 21 days before tour - Full refund
  • 7–21 days before tour - Partial credit may be offered at Dirt Dayz’ discretion
  • Less than 7 days, no-show, or late arrival (more than 10 minutes after start time) - No refund or credit


Minimum participant numbers apply. A minimum of three (3) participants is required for this tour to proceed. If the minimum is not reached, the tour will be rescheduled to the next available date that meets the minimum numbers.


Dirt Dayz Tour's Include:


  • Use of motorcycle (if applicable),
  • Riding gear,
  • Snacks and drinks.

 

Participants should bring their own lunch, unless otherwise advised. Where time permits, the group may travel to a nearby location for food. Payment is required in full to secure a booking.


Payment Methods:

  • Payment online through the websites booking page or, 
  • Credit card payment over the phone or,
  • Bank transfer:

    • Reference: Rider name and tour date

 

Gift Vouchers

  • Valid for 3 years from date of purchase,
  • Not redeemable for cash,
  • Non-refundable,
  • If the voucher value is lower than the tour cost, the difference must be paid.


Dirt Dayz is the off-road adventure touring division of RideSmart Motorcycle Training. While RideSmart delivers accredited on-road motorcycle training, Dirt Dayz operates recreational and adventure-style off-road motorcycle tours. Motorcycle riding, including off-road and adventure riding, is an inherently dangerous activity and involves significant risks, including serious injury, permanent disability, death, and economic loss.


By participating, I acknowledge and understand that:

  • Participation is entirely at my own risk,
  • I am responsible for ensuring I am physically and medically fit,
  • Dirt Dayz strongly recommends obtaining appropriate personal insurance, including sickness and accident insurance that covers motorcycle adventure tours,
  • It is my responsibility to confirm coverage with my insurer,
  • Ambulance cover is not automatic for non-Queensland residents, and I am responsible for confirming my own coverage.


8.1 Dirt Dayz Supplied Motorcycle's Damages:

When using a Dirt Dayz supplied motorcycle:

  • I am responsible for any damage caused while the motorcycle is under my control,
  • I agree to pay up to $500 AUD to cover repair or replacement costs, excluding normal wear and tear.


8.2 Personal Motorcycles:

   Where I choose to ride my own motorcycle:

  • I remain fully responsible for the condition, legality and insurance of that motorcycle.


8.3 Road Rules & Infringements

Students are fully responsible for any traffic infringements, fines, or penalties incurred while riding any motorcycle, whether a school-provided bike or their own, during the tour. Dirt Dayz accepts no responsibility for these fines. Students must always comply with all road rules and *pay any fines or penalties issued in full. This includes, but is not limited to, speeding, illegal parking, or other traffic violations.


*Students will be notified of any infringements, fines or penalties incurred and are required to pay within 14 days of notice.


8.4 Conduct & Zero-Tolerance Policy

Participants must not be under the influence of alcohol, illicit drugs, or impairing medication at any time. Dirt Dayz operates a zero-tolerance policy regarding Unsafe, reckless, aggressive, or non-compliant behaviour. If my participation is ceased due to non-compliance, no refund will be issued.


 Dirt Dayz operates in outdoor and remote environments where weather and track conditions can change rapidly. I acknowledge that:


  • Dirt Dayz reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries, motorcycles, schedules, or staff at any time for safety, weather, or operational reasons,
  • Tours may be rescheduled due to circumstances beyond Dirt Dayz’ control, including but not limited to:
    • Extreme weather conditions (e.g., heavy rainfall, flooding, storms, park closures following heavy rainfall of 100mm or more),
    • Safety hazards on the course,
    • Operational requirements or other unforeseen events,
    • Minimum participant numbers not being reached (tours require at least three participants to proceed).
       

If a tour is rescheduled, postponed, or cannot proceed due to any of the above reasons:

  • Your booking will be held as a credit,
  • You will be offered the next available tour date.


10.1 Photography & Marketing

Dirt Dayz may take photos or videos during tours for marketing and promotional purposes. Participants automatically consent unless they notify staff before the tour begins.

10.2 Privacy & Data Use

Dirt Dayz collects only the personal information required for participation, administration, and safety purposes. Information is stored securely and handled in accordance with Australian privacy laws. Personal information is not sold or disclosed to unrelated third parties.


 Dirt Dayz is not liable for:

  • Loss caused by failure to meet licensing or eligibility requirements, 
  • Personal belongings lost or damaged during a tour,
  • Injuries caused by another participant,
  • Missed bookings due to incorrect personal information.


Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

All matters will be handled promptly, respectfully, and confidentially.


 By booking with Dirt Dayz, participants agree to:

  • Comply with all Terms & Conditions,
  • Follow all instructions and safety directions,
  • Ensure eligibility requirements are met,
  • Accept that the guide’s decision is final,
  • Accept that refunds and reschedules are governed exclusively by this policy,
  • Acknowledge that Dirt Dayz may cancel or reschedule tours due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather, emergencies, or instructor illness, with refunds or credits issued at Dirt Dayz’ discretion.
